One 60-day cruise through the Australian Coast has been cancelled days after the tragic passing of an older lady who was left behind by the ship on a distant island.

Head of the cruise operator announced that passengers and personnel on the Coral Adventurer were told that the rest of the journey had been called off due to the "sad loss and prior technical problems".

In a statement, he mentioned that guests would be issued a complete reimbursement, and said the company was working "to organize the travel back of the travelers via private aircraft".
